About HaKol

A community choir dedicated to musical excellence and the joy of singing Jewish music together

Our Mission

HaKolDC Corporation is a DC non-profit corporation operating exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. The purpose of HaKolDC is to support a community chorus to perform and promote Jewish choral music in enhancing Jewish community and identity both for singers and listeners in the National Capital area. Contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law and our donor information will not be released to the public.

HaKol exists to enrich our community through the transformative power of Jewish choral music. Our repertoire includes liturgical, Israeli, Yiddish, Ladino, folk and pop. We believe that singing together builds bridges, creates lasting friendships, and touches hearts in ways that words alone cannot. We are also very grateful for the support we have received from the Hadar Institute.
